This past year of 2023 has been a very interesting one for the sales of small businesses with a value of up to $3million. Inquiries overall are well up from the previous year, as well as the sales.

The outlook for next year continues to be very positive, at least for the next 6 months. Interest in businesses has been steadily increasing this year, and it looks like it might still keep going in 2024. A lot of “baby boomer” business owners are heading towards their retirement and are seeking to exit. This is good news for the younger, energetic buyers.

With accounting figures available for the last 5 years, we can see if businesses were under stress during the COVID periods. With the business valuations as they are currently, there are excellent opportunities for the buyers.
